Based on his previous work in the patent department of a multinational company in the USA, Peter Wiegeleben has special practical experience in US patenting.

Studied Chemistry at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany and the University of Glasgow (Scotland). Peter Wiegeleben did his doctorate work at the University of Jena, Germany in a research group of the Max Planck Society and in 1998 received a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Specialized in inorganic and organometallic chemistry, physical chemistry. Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK.

Legal training with the patent law firm of Uexküll & Stolberg since 1999, with parallel studies at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen and the District Court of Hamburg.

Final training and examination at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Patent Court in Munich.

Patent Attorney (Germany) and European Patent Attorney since 2003. With Uexküll & Stolberg until 2017. Peter Wiegeleben joined Eisenführ Speiser in 2018.

In his capacity as epi tutor, Peter Wiegeleben has been preparing IP professionals for the European Qualifying Examination since 2012.
