Eisenführ Speiser adds partners from its own ranks

Eisenführ Speiser welcomes patent attorney Dr Christine Cirl (42), patent attorney Max von Vopelius (34) and attorney-at-law Dr Constantin Brecht (39) as new partners appointed from its own ranks with effect from 1 January 2022.

Dr. rer. nat. Dipl.-Biol. Christine Cirl, LL.M. advises and supports national and international clients in all areas of biotechnology, including pharmaceuticals, plant biotechnology, diagnostics and food technology. Christine Cirl is particularly experienced in preparing FTO reports and legal opinions, as well as IP landscape and portfolio analyses as an integral part of strategic portfolio consulting. Commencing with the drafting of patent applications and designing of application strategies, her work focuses on preparing and conducting complex patent opposition proceedings and actions for revocation. Christine Cirl’s key areas of technological expertise are immunology (antibodies, vaccines, cancer immunotherapy) and protein technology, including genome editing techniques (including CRISPR/Cas). Christine Cirl joined the Munich office in 2015 and has now been appointed as an equity partner.

Dipl.-Phys. Max von Vopelius manages national and international clients in the fields of electrical and electronic engineering, information technology and medical technology. He has experience in draft, prosecuting and enforcing German, European and international patents, as well as in opposition proceedings. Max von Vopelius advises start-ups and investors on all matters relating to product protection during the various phases of company formation. Max von Vopelius completed his legal training at Eisenführ Speiser and has been working as a patent attorney in the Munich office since 2015. He has been appointed as an equity partner.

Dr. jur. Constantin Brecht, LL.B. advises national and international clients in the fields of trademark, design, competition and copyright law. One of his main areas of focus is the design and implementation of international strategies for the development and defence of IP portfolios. He also advises on litigating against infringements of trademarks and designs, breaches of competition law and on agreements for safeguarding IP rights, also in connection with the non-disclosure of know-how. Dr Brecht joined the Hamburg office in 2017 and has now been appointed as a salary partner.
