In this seminar, the patent attorneys Fabian Fegers and Max von Vopelius provide insights into the possibilities of patent protection for software, apps, AI and algorithms. Using concrete examples, they will show if a software product is patentable, which "patentability pointers" to look out for, if patent protection makes sense in principle, what alternatives there are and how promising applications abroad are. A special focus is on medical, medical technology and biomedical applications.

The online seminar is an event organized by the "Gründerzentren Würzburg" and is primarily aimed at students, researchers, medical professionals and start-ups. Participation is free of charge.
