At present, applicants for industrial property rights are receiving forged grant decisions, which simulate the granting of an industrial property right by the Polish Patent Office and demand payment of a fee. The documents are very similar to the original documents of the Polish Patent Office.

The Polish authorities have already taken steps to prevent this illegal practice. Nevertheless, applicants may still receive forged decisions.

Please note: If you as an applicant are represented by a patent attorney, it is not you but your representative who receives correspondence from the Polish Patent Office.
