The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has published the Global Innovation Index 2023. The title of the 16th edition of the annually published GII is “Innovation in the face of uncertainty”.

The index rates the innovative performance of 132 economies and identifies the world’s top 100 science and technology clusters.

This year’s front runners are Switzerland, Sweden and the USA. Germany was able to retain its ranking from the previous year and takes eighth place, with Munich making it into the top 10 of the most S&T-intensive clusters globally.
