Together with employees, long-time companions, colleagues and family members, we celebrated the 90th birthday of patent attorney Dieter Karl Speiser today at our Bremen office.
Renowned guests such as Detlef von Ahsen (President of the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys), Dr. Christof Keussen (President of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys) and Peter R. Thomsen (President of epi) accepted the invitation and, together with Eisenführ Speiser Managing Director Dr. Lars Birken and long-standing colleagues Klaus Göken and Mark Andres as speakers, looked back on the life's work of Dieter Karl Speiser. Afterwards, all guests enjoyed culinary delicacies, drinks and pleasant conversation in a convivial atmosphere.
Dieter Karl Speiser joined Günther Eisenführ's law firm in Bremen in 1967 immediately after completing his training as a patent attorney. The great similarities in their personal approach to legal work and cooperation within the firm quickly led to the founding of the law firm Eisenführ Speiser. Over the years, Eisenführ Speiser developed from Bremen into one of the most renowned IP law firms in the country with further offices in Munich, Berlin and Hamburg.
Dieter Karl Speiser has been an active member of professional associations and advisory bodies of the Federal Ministry of Justice, the European Commission and the European Patent Office for over 40 years. He was Vice President and President of the European Chamber of Patent Attorneys and a long-standing member of the Board of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys. In 1993, the Federal President awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit for his honorary commitment to the profession.
It is with great appreciation and pleasure that we extend our special congratulations to patent attorney Dieter Karl Speiser on his 90th birthday. We would like to thank him for his many years of commitment and wish him good luck and health in the future!
