In the dispute over the distribution of the copyright-protected Wilhelm Wagenfeld lamp, Eisenführ Speiser has achieved a success before the High Court of Justice in Great Britain. The defendant Swivel UK Limited had marketed the Wagenfeld lamp there as a plagiarism. Now the company must hand over all copies at short notice and in future may neither sell nor import copies into the country. "Great Britain is now no longer safe for plagiarists," says attorney Rainer Böhm.
The well-known Wagenfeld table lamp "WA 24" is considered as a design classic worldwide and may only be manufactured by the Bremen-based company Tecnolumen.
