Markus Schulz has special professional experience in the filing, prosecution and enforcement of German patents and utility models, European patents and international patent applications. Studied mechanical engineering at the University of Hanover, specializing in kinetics & robotics as well as biomedical engineering, including a period of study at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain. Graduated with Dipl.-Ing. (Master’s degree) in 2006. Research activities at the Institute for Turbomachinery, Institute for Materials Science (both Hanover University), Laser-Zentrum Hannover e.V. and at the Hanover University Institute for Process Engineering. Gained practical experience with an international automotive company and with a German company leading in the field of image-guided surgery and stereotactic radio surgery.
Legal training from the year 2007 onwards at Eisenführ Speiser in Bremen, at a District Court for patent infringement proceedings, at the German Patent- and Trademark Office and at the Federal Patent Court.
