Studied at the Bergische University in Wuppertal (BUGH), graduating as a Master of Engineering in microelectronics, including periods of study at the University of Bath, England, research activities at the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile, specializing in microelectronics and semiconductor technology.
Legal training at Eisenführ Speiser (Bremen) since 1999, participation in the “Law for Patent Attorneys” course at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen from 1999 to 2001, training periods at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen, the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Patent Court in 2002.
