Karin Roßberg has extensive professional experience in drafting and prosecuting European and international patent applications, in drafting oppositions against European patents and in defending European patents against oppositions. The patent applicants and proprietors involved are often companies in the chemical industry, but also include research establishments and universities. Karin Roßberg frequently works on an interdisciplinary basis with patent attorneys and inventors in the fields of physics, materials science, mechanical engineering and energy technology. Owing to her previous work in university and research institutes, as well as in the patent department of an industrial company, Karin Roßberg is highly familiar with the perspective of researchers, developers and industrial companies.

CV

Studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin, obtaining a Master’s degree in Chemistry in 1990; doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) 1993, research work at the Leibniz Institute for Solid-State and Materials Research in Dresden (specializing in conductive polymers) and at the Technical University of Munich (specializing in fuel cells).

From 2000 to 2007, Karin Roßberg was Patent Manager at SGL Carbon Group (producers of, among others, synthetic graphite, carbon fibres and carbon fibre-reinforced composite materials).

CEIPI course in preparation for the European Qualifying Examination, European Patent Attorney since 2006.

At Eisenführ Speiser (Bremen) since 2007.
