Hannah Gruchow deals with the filing, prosecution and enforcement of German, European and international technical property rights as well as opposition and nullity proceedings. She also advises on issues relating to employee invention law and has particular experience in preparing FTO searches and opinions as well as IP landscape and portfolio analyses. One aspect of her work concerns advice and activities in the field of plant breeding technologies and plant variety protection.
Hannah Gruchow speaks German, English, Swedish and French (basic knowledge).
Studied molecular and applied biotechnology at Rheinisch Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen, Germany, with a research stay at Chalmers Tekniska Högskola in Gothenburg, Sweden; worked at Fraunhofer IME in Aachen, Germany,during studies and specialized in process engineering, plant biotechnology and pharmaceutical biotechnology; master's thesis at DuPont in the field of process engineering and subsequent work as process engineer; subsequently worked as a project engineer at a start-up in the field of renewable energies.
Legal training at Eisenführ Speiser from 2019 to 2022 with accompanying legal studies at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen, training at the German Patent and Trademark Office and Federal Patent Court and stay at the Federal Plant Variety Office in Hanover. Patent Attorney since 2023.
