Studied chemistry and biochemistry at the Leibniz University of Hanover, graduating with a Master’s degree in Biochemistry in 1999, including a period of studies at the Technical University of Vienna. Research work in the area of diabetes mellitus at the Medical University of Hanover until 2001 and at the University of Uppsala, Sweden, until 2002. Main fields of work: physiological chemistry, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, analytical chemistry and cell biology.

Patent attorney training at Eisenführ Speiser from 2002 to 2004, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the German Patent Court from 2004 to 2005 and in the “Law for Patent Attorneys” course at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen from 2002 to 2004; State Examination passed in 2005, Patent Attorney (Germany) since then; European Patent Attorney since 2007.
