Dieter Speiser now only acts as a patent attorney in special cases, namely in IP infringement cases and in the defence of industrial property rights, where his litigation experience is particularly helpful. In addition, he is available to younger colleagues as an advisor on legal issues and the practice of the profession.
For over 40 years, Dieter Speiser has been an active member of professional organisations and advisory bodies of the German Federal Ministry of Justice, the European Commission and the European Patent Office. He was Vice President and President of the European Chamber of Patent Attorneys and a long-standing board member of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys. In 1993, the German Federal President awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit for his voluntary commitment to the profession.

Graduated with a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Technical University of Hanover, specializing in general mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and engine technology, hydraulic systems; supplementary training in electrical engineering.
Patent Attorney (Germany) since 1966. Co-founder of Eisenführ Speiser, co-author of a commentary on European patent law and author of various articles on professional issues.
