Cheng Yang has a diverse and extensive experience in drafting, prosecuting and enforcing German and European patents, as well as in opposition proceedings against German and European patents. The focus of her activities are mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science and information technology including artificial intelligence and computer implemented invention.
Cheng Yang speaks German, English and Chinese. She leverages her multilingual capabilities to consult with patent applicants from east Asia, United States and Germany, helping to secure patent rights internationally.

Doctorate at the University of Siegen in mechanics and control engineering; dissertation on the development of innovative transducers for structural health monitoring and non-destructive testing in aeronautics. Previously Master's degree in Mechatronics and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Trainee from 2018 to 2022 in a law firm in Munich. European Patent Attorney since 2022, with Eisenführ Speiser since 2024. Currently distance learning in civil law at the University of Hagen, aiming to qualify as a German Patent Attorney.
