Studied at the RWTH Technical University of Aachen; graduated with a Master´s degree in Chemistry (Dipl.-Chem.) in 1993; Doctorate awarded in 1997 in the field of organic chemistry and natural product synthesis; PostDoc studies in a German pharmaceutical company.
From 1997 to 2000, Research and Development work with Haarmann & Reimer GmbH (former subsidiary of Bayer AG) in the field of process and catalyst development as well as synthesis of fragrance and speciality chemicals.
From 2000 to 2002, patent professional with Haarmann & Reimer, in parallel legal training in the chemical patent department of Bayer AG; from 2003 to 2009 IP-manager and since 2006 head of patent department with Symrise, responsible for the patent portfolio and compensation of inventors.
European Patent Attorney since 2008; at Eisenführ Speiser (Bremen) since 2009.
Special professional experience in the fields of organic chemistry, fragrance chemistry, flavors, cosmetics, oral hygiene products, perfumery, gas odorization, chemical technology, technical chemistry.
Languages: German, English, Dutch, French.
Memberships: Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi).
