Graduated with a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Technical University of Hanover, specialising in general mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and engine technology, hydraulic systems; supplementary training in electrical engineering.
Patent Attorney since 1966. Co-founder of Eisenführ Speiser, co-author of a commentary on European patent law and author of various articles on professional issues.

Dieter Speiser mainly works on IP infringement cases and on the prosecution and defence of intellectual property, where his litigation experience proves especially valuable. He also advises clients on all national and European licensing matters.

For more than 30 years now, Dieter Speiser has been an active member of professional associations and of advisory bodies reporting to the Federal Ministry of Justice, the European Commission and the European Patent Office. He was Vice-President and President of the European Patent Attorneys Association and for many years a member of the executive board of the German Patent Attorneys Association. In 1993, the President of Germany awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz) for his voluntary service to the profession.
